It has been 4 years since The Gunny, R. Lee Ermey has passed away. Yet his many accomplishments as an actor have not been properly recognized. The Gunny had 128 credits as an actor, including Toy Story, Mississippi Burning, Se7en, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Full Metal Jacket. There is no doubt that he should be on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Operation Shooting Star is working to make that happen.
Vet X will look to file an application with the Hollywood, CA Chamber of Commerce to award The Gunny a much deserved and well overdue Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

I had the incredible privilege of meeting Gunny at New River Air Station in the early 2000s. To say he was a Marine’s Marine would be an understatement; I can’t think of anyone more deserving of immortalization.
